Thanks to the relatively convenient road, Chimgan has long become a familiar destination for residents of Tashkent and travelers who want to see mountain landscapes without a long journey.
The area is known primarily for its natural terrain: slopes, passes, stretches of mountain meadows, and rocky trails alternate here. Juniper groves can be found in the surroundings, and in spring you can see seasonal blooms on the slopes, including wild tulips. Panoramic views of mountain ridges and valleys make Chimgan a popular place for walks, short hikes, and nature outings.

In winter, the area is visited for snow, skiing, and mountain infrastructure, while in the warm season hiking routes, trips around the surroundings, and paragliding are popular. Nearby there are recreation areas, guest houses, hotels, and resort villages, so Chimgan is often combined with a trip to the Charvak Reservoir and other places in the Charvak-Ugam region.
