Kaputas Beach is located on the Mediterranean coast in Antalya Province, between the resort towns of Kas and Kalkan. It lies in a small bay by the D400 highway, about 20 km from Kas and 7 km from Kalkan. The place is known above all for its location at the foot of high cliffs and the vivid color of the water, which is especially noticeable in sunny weather.
The beach lies at the mouth of the Kaputas Gorge, so its natural appearance differs noticeably from the more open stretches of the coast. The shore here is relatively narrow, covered with sand mixed with fine pebbles, and the sea quickly becomes deep. Thanks to the combination of seawater and underground springs, the water near the shore sometimes feels cooler than at neighboring beaches.
This place attracts those who want to see one of the most recognizable stretches of coastline between Kas and Kalkan and swim in clear water. At the same time, it is worth taking into account the natural features of the bay: on windy days there can be waves and currents here, and the descent to the sea is via a long staircase from the road. In high season, the beach is often crowded, so it is more convenient to arrive earlier in the morning.
Kaputas is interesting not only for swimming, but also as a stop during a trip along Turkey's southern coast. From the upper part of the descent, there is a good view of the bay and the cliffs, and the location of the beach itself makes it a convenient point between Kalkan, Kas, and several well-known coastal viewpoints.

The main feature of this beach is the combination of a small strip of shoreline, light sand, and high cliffs that come almost right up to the sea. People usually swim here, relax by the water, and take photos of the bay from above, from the highway side. Because the depth increases quickly, the beach is better suited to those who feel confident in the water.
There is usually basic infrastructure on site for a short beach stay: showers, toilets, changing cabins, and seasonal rental of umbrellas and sun loungers. The number of services and their operating hours depend on the time of year. There is little shade on the shore itself, so during the hottest hours it is useful to plan sun protection and a supply of water in advance.
It is worth noting that access to the shore is only possible via a long staircase, and parking by the highway is limited. At the height of summer and in the middle of the day, there may be few free spaces, so many people arrive early in the morning or closer to the evening. When the sea is rough and the wind is strong, swimming may be less comfortable and requires caution.
Nearby are Kalkan, Kas, and Patara Beach, which are often included in one trip along the coast. The easiest way to get here is by car via the D400 highway or by intercity transport running between Kas and Kalkan, followed by a short stop at the descent to the beach.
