Sile is a district of Istanbul Province in Turkey's Marmara Region. Set on the Black Sea coast at the province's northeastern edge, it is far from central Istanbul and has a lower-density coastal, semi-rural character rather than an urban one.
Sile is widely known as one of the main weekend and summer getaway areas for Istanbul residents.
