Sorgun Travel Guide

Sorgun, Side

Sorgun is a district of Side on the eastern side of the resort area, within the Manavgat area of Antalya Province on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. It is a coastal resort district rather than a traditional town center, defined by the sea, a long sandy beach, and stretches of pine forest.

Sorgun is known for resort tourism, direct beach access, and a greener feel than more built-up beachfront areas. Visitors come for beach holidays, swimming, sunbathing, and walks along the shore, and many also use it as a base for short trips to Side Ancient City and the Temple of Apollo. Titreyengol, east of Side, is also commonly linked with the area for short outings and resort stays.

Antalya Airport is the main gateway for Sorgun, and the road transfer usually takes around one to one and a half hours, depending on traffic. Getting around locally is straightforward, with visitors traveling between hotels, the beach, Side center, and Manavgat by dolmus, taxi, or organized transfer.
