Alanya Lighthouse is located in the center of Alanya, in the harbor at the entrance to the port, on a long breakwater next to the historic peninsula. It is clearly visible from the promenade, from the old harbor, and from sightseeing boats departing from the piers. Thanks to this location, the lighthouse remains one of the distinctive features of the city's seafront.

This historic port structure is connected with the development of the harbor in the late Ottoman period. The lighthouse was manufactured in France and installed at the end of the 19th century, after which it continued to be used for its intended purpose. Its value for Alanya is related not so much to its scale as to its preserved function and authentic installation site.

For tourists, the lighthouse is interesting as part of a walk through the old port and along the promenade. The road along the breakwater offers views of boats and excursion vessels, the slope with fortress walls, the Red Tower, and the open Mediterranean coastline. It is a convenient point from which to see the city harbor from another side and take photographs of the sea and the historic center.

The lighthouse is usually viewed only from the outside, since the interior spaces are generally not intended for public access. Before walking here, it is worth taking into account the wind, heat, and the condition of the breakwater, especially in unsettled weather. It is more convenient to come here during the day or toward the evening, when the harbor is lively and the surrounding city landmarks are more clearly visible.
