Bodrum Port
Bodrum Port in the center of the Bodrum resort, Turkey
Bodrum Port is located in the center of Bodrum, on the shore of the Aegean Sea. It is an important part of the city waterfront and one of the main access points to the sea within the resort. Excursion boats, private yachts, and traditional wooden gulets, used for sea trips along the coast of the peninsula, moor here.
The port’s modern appearance is primarily linked to the city’s tourist and yachting life, but the harbor itself has historically played a significant role in the development of Bodrum as a coastal settlement. The area around the port has long remained a lively part of the city, where it is convenient to combine a walk along the waterfront with boarding an excursion boat or making a short stop by the water.
For tourists, the port is of interest as a starting point for sea excursions to the bays of the Bodrum Peninsula. Half-day and full-day boat trips usually depart from here, as well as private yacht and boat charters. Along the waterfront near the piers, there are cafes, excursion company ticket offices, and services related to sea trips.
The port is also convenient for a regular walk through the center of Bodrum. From here, it is easy to reach St. Peter’s Castle, the coastal streets, shops, and restaurants. Even without going out to sea, this place helps visitors better understand the rhythm of the resort, where city life is closely connected with the harbor and the sea.

Bodrum Port: walks, excursion departures, and coastal infrastructure
The waterfront combines maritime life, piers, and access to excursions.
Yacht berths, excursion boats, and the seafront promenade
At the port, you can see different types of vessels - from small boats to motor yachts and gulets typical of the Turkish coast. During the day, passengers board sea excursions here, and in the evening the movement of sightseeing boats and private vessels along the piers is especially noticeable. For many visitors, it is this everyday activity of the harbor, and not only the sea view, that is of particular interest.
The port area is suitable for a calm walk on foot: a promenade stretches along the water, and nearby there are places for a short rest, cafes, and excursion sales points. From here, it is convenient to watch boats heading out to sea, observe marina life, and see how the light over the bay changes at different times of day. During the hottest hours, it is useful to keep in mind that there is little shade on the open sections of the promenade.
Nearby are St. Peter’s Castle and the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, as well as the central streets of Bodrum with shops and restaurants. If the purpose of the visit is a boat trip, it is better to check the schedule and route on site, since they depend on the season, weather, and navigation rules.
The port is usually easy to reach on foot from the center of Bodrum; from other parts of the city, visitors come here by taxi, bus, or dolmus with stops in the central part of the resort.
