The Botanical Garden in Tashkent is located on Bogishamol Street, not far from an area with major educational institutions and urban green spaces. It was founded in 1943 on the initiative of botanist and academician Fyodor Rusanov and is considered one of the best-known botanical gardens in Uzbekistan. The garden's territory is organized according to a collection principle: there are avenues, areas with tree plantings, ponds, and zones featuring plants from various natural regions. Among the plants mentioned in the garden's collections are metasequoia, ginkgo, magnolia, Japanese quince, eremurus, tulip tree, and bald cypress.
