Kazdagi National Park is located in the Edremit district in northwestern Turkey, within the Kazdaglari mountain range, which is also known as the Ida Mountains. It is one of the best-known natural areas in Balikesir Province. The park covers an area of more than 21 thousand hectares and was established to protect the mountain forests, water sources, and characteristic landscapes of this region.
The park's terrain includes forested slopes, gorges, valleys, and areas with scenic viewpoints. Pine, oak, and beech forests are widespread here, along with plant communities that are rare for the region and associated with humid mountain conditions.
