Kemer Town Square

Kemer Town Square in central Kemer, Turkey

Kemer Town Square is located in the city center, in the busiest part of the resort, next to shops, cafes, and pedestrian streets. For tourists, it is a convenient landmark while walking through central Kemer and one of those places that often lies along a route through the city.

The square area was created on the site of the former bus station after urban redevelopment. Today it is an open public space intended for walks, short rests, and meetings. There is no museum format or fenced territory - the square is perceived as part of the city’s everyday life.

The most recognizable feature of the square is the white clock tower, which is often associated with the image of central Kemer. Nearby stands a monument to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Such monuments are typical of town squares in Turkey, and in Kemer it also occupies a prominent place in the urban setting.

The space is complemented by fountains, including jet fountains built into the pavement, flowerbeds, and areas for relaxation. The square is especially lively in the evening hours, when locals and tourists come here to stroll through the center, sit outdoors, or take a few photographs.

In the square, you can see the white clock tower, the Ataturk monument, neatly arranged flowerbeds, and a paved area convenient for walking. The fountains built into the pavement periodically turn on directly from the ground, so families with children often spend time here during the day. The square is well suited for a short stop between walks around the shops and the waterfront.

This is not an isolated attraction, but a lively urban environment where it is convenient to observe the everyday rhythm of the resort. People arrange meetings here, relax on benches, take photographs by the tower, and pass through the square on their way to other parts of central Kemer. In the evening, the place becomes noticeably livelier thanks to the lighting and the greater number of people out walking.

Within a few minutes’ walk are the central shopping streets, cafes, souvenir shops, and walking routes toward the coast and the marina. Therefore, the square is easy to include in a regular walk through the city center without setting aside a separate trip for it.

The easiest way to get here is on foot if you are already in central Kemer. From other parts of the resort, people usually come by bus or taxi to the city center, after which the square is easy to find by the clock tower.
