Konakli is a resort town west of central Alanya, on Turkey's Mediterranean coast. It is about 10-12 km from the central districts of Alanya, so it is often chosen by those who want to stay by the sea, but not in the liveliest part of the resort. The nearest airport is Gazipasa-Alanya, although a significant number of tourists still arrive via Antalya Airport and then continue along the coastal highway.

Konakli developed primarily as a beach holiday area, and today its development is largely linked to tourism. Along the coast are hotels, apartments, shops, cafes, and other everyday services for holidaymakers. At the same time, the town itself maintains a calmer pace compared to central Alanya, especially away from the main walking streets and large hotel complexes.

The coastline in Konakli is mostly sandy and pebbly, but conditions vary noticeably from one section to another. In some places, entry into the water is relatively convenient, while in others there are stone slabs, pebbles, and slippery rocks, so when choosing a beach it is worth paying attention to the characteristics of the specific spot. For a holiday here, the basic infrastructure is usually sufficient: there are supermarkets, pharmacies, small shopping rows, exchange offices, restaurants, and a weekly market.

For tourists, Konakli is appealing as a peaceful base by the sea and a convenient starting point for trips around the area. From here, you can quickly reach Alanya Castle, the Red Tower, Damlatas Cave, the Alanya Archaeological Museum, and the recreational areas by the Dimcay River. Thanks to the buses and dolmuses that run along the coast, getting between Konakli, Alanya, and neighboring resorts is usually easy.
