Mount Olympos Observation Deck
Mount Olympos Observation Deck in Kemer, Turkey
The observation deck is located on the roof of the upper station of the Olympos Teleferik cable car on Mount Tahtali (Olympos) near Kemer, within the Olympos-Beydaglari National Park. The viewpoint elevation is 2,365 m, which makes it one of the coastal summits accessible to visitors.
The upper station building has three floors: in addition to the waiting and arrival halls, there are two restaurants here - a terrace and a panoramic one - as well as souvenir shops. The rooftop deck provides a 360° all-round view.
From here you can see the Beydaglari range, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Kemer shoreline. On clear days the nearby resorts of Tekirova and Camyuva are discernible, as well as a long stretch of coast from Finike to Side. The viewing distance depends on the weather and sea haze.
It is noticeably cooler and windier at the summit than by the sea, so conditions change quickly. Access to the deck is by cable car from the lower station in the Tekirova area; hours of operation depend on the season and weather, and service may be temporarily suspended in strong winds.

Mount Olympos Observation Deck - visiting and practical information
From the summit you can see the Beydaglari range, the sea, and the Kemer shoreline.
A 360° view of the Taurus and the Kemer coast from 2,365 m
The deck occupies the roof of the upper station: you can walk around the perimeter and choose viewpoints toward the Beydaglari mountain massif, the bays by Kemer, and distant sections of the coastline. Inside there are a panoramic and a terrace restaurant, enclosed waiting halls, toilets, and souvenir shops, which is convenient in windy or cool weather.
At altitude there are often strong winds and you can feel a chill even in summer. In winter the summit is often covered with snow. Sturdy footwear and warm clothing are useful year-round, and in summer you should account for the strong sun. Visibility changes due to humidity and sea haze; the sharpest panoramas are usually observed in the morning hours.
You can reach it by car via the D400 highway from central Kemer toward Tekirova, then follow the Olympos Teleferik signs to the lower station with parking; from there the cable car ascends to the summit in about 10 minutes. The schedule and departure frequency depend on the season and weather; in strong winds service is suspended.
On the way or after the ascent it is convenient to stop by the ruins and beaches of Phaselis between Kemer and Tekirova, as well as the flames of Chimera near Cirali or Goynuk Canyon.
