Turunc Bay is located in the village of Turunc, southwest of central Marmaris, on Turkey's Mediterranean coast. It lies between pine-covered hills, so the road here follows a winding mountain route with views of the shoreline. Compared with the busier Marmaris, this part of the coast feels calmer and more compact.

The shore in the bay is mostly sandy-pebbly and pebbly, and the water is usually clear, making the place convenient for swimming and relaxing by the sea. Thanks to the bay's sheltered position, the sea here often appears calmer than on open stretches of the coast, although conditions depend on the weather and season. Cafes, restaurants, shops, and small hotels operate along the promenade and near the beach.

Turunc is known as a point for boat trips, snorkeling, and recreational diving. In the surrounding waters there are areas with a rocky underwater landscape that are interesting for observing marine life. In high season, sightseeing boats and excursion vessels, including those from Marmaris, enter the bay, but it is not considered a major port area.

For tourists, the bay is attractive for its combination of beach relaxation, convenient infrastructure, and a more intimate atmosphere than in large resort centers. From late spring to autumn, people come here for swimming, relaxing on the shore, and trips along the coast. It is a suitable option for those who want to spend time by the sea not far from Marmaris, but in a less noisy setting.
