Adrasan Beach

Adrasan Beach in Adrasan, Turkey

Adrasan Beach is located in the village of Adrasan, southwest of Kemer, on the Mediterranean coast. It occupies the shore of the bay of the same name, surrounded by hills and forested slopes. Thanks to the shape of the bay, the sea here is usually calmer than on more open parts of the coast, so this place is often chosen for swimming and relaxing by the water.

The coastline of Adrasan stretches in a wide arc for several kilometers. The beach surface is mixed - sand and small pebbles, and the entry into the sea is gentle in most places. These conditions are convenient for relaxed holidays, swimming, and walks along the water. The sea here is usually quite clear, especially in the morning and outside the peak periods of the season.

Adrasan is known not only as a beach village, but also as a convenient starting point for trips around this part of the Lycian coast. Boats depart from here to nearby bays and Suluada Island, and sections of the Lycian Way pass nearby. The beach is suitable for those looking for a quieter resort atmosphere than in the central areas of Kemer and who want to combine the sea with walks along natural trails.

Along the shore and on the nearest streets, there are cafes, small shops, guesthouses, and hotels. On part of the beach, sun loungers and umbrellas can be rented in season, but conditions vary depending on the specific section. For a comfortable visit, it is worth taking into account the pebbles at the water's edge and the seasonal crowds, especially in the summer months.

Wide bay with a gentle entry and boat trips

The beach stretches along a spacious bay, so even in high season it is usually easier to find a less crowded spot here than on smaller beaches. Closer to the water there are pebbles, while farther from the surf line there are sandy-pebbly strips. The depth increases gradually, which is convenient for regular swimming, and the clear water is suitable for snorkeling near the rocky edges of the bay.

There are sections of the shore with beach equipment, and near the beach there are cafes and small family-run places where you can eat without going far from the sea. In the village, you can find accommodation in various formats - from guesthouses to small hotels. In summer, excursion boats often depart from here, including toward Suluada and secluded bays that are difficult to reach by land.

The beach is often chosen by travelers who combine seaside holidays with hiking routes. Sections of the Lycian Way pass not far away, and in the surroundings you can see pine-covered slopes, viewpoints, and quieter coastal areas. In clear weather, the coastline and the surrounding mountains are clearly visible along almost the entire length of the beach.

Adrasan is usually reached by road from Kemer or Antalya by car, taxi, or transfer, after which the beach can be reached quickly on foot from the center of the village.
