Cleopatra Beach

Cleopatra Beach in Alanya, Turkey

Cleopatra Beach is located in the western part of central Alanya, at the foot of the fortress peninsula. It is one of the city's most famous beaches, stretching along the coast next to the promenade and urban development. Thanks to its location, it is easy to reach on foot from the central districts of Alanya.

The beach is known for its sandy shore and clear water. Entry into the sea is convenient in many areas, but depending on the weather and water conditions, there may be deeper spots and noticeable surf in some places, so it is worth assessing the conditions on site. The shore here is wide, making the beach convenient both for swimming and for simply relaxing by the sea.

This is a city beach with developed infrastructure: nearby there is a walking promenade, cafes, shops, and various services for vacationers. During the high season, it can be lively here, especially closer to the central sections, although the long shoreline makes it possible to find a quieter spot.

For tourists, the beach is attractive not only because of the sea, but also because of the nearby sights. Not far away are the Alanya cable car leading to the fortress, Damlatas Cave, and viewpoints on the slopes of the peninsula, from where there are excellent views of the coast and the beach itself.

Cleopatra Beach and seaside relaxation in central Alanya

City leisure, walks, and seaside swimming come together here.

The beach is suitable for swimming, walking along the sea, and relaxing in equipped areas. Here you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas, and there are usually spots along the shore selling drinks and light snacks. The promenade is pleasant for an evening walk when the daytime heat subsides.

The water near the shore often remains clear, so the beach is chosen not only for regular swimming, but also for snorkeling near the rocky sections at the edges of the coast. When the sea is rough, entering the water may be less comfortable than it appears from the shore, especially for children and those who do not feel confident in deeper water.

Nearby, you can take the cable car up to Alanya Fortress, visit Damlatas Cave, or walk toward the city center, where cafes, shops, and the port area are concentrated. This location makes it possible to combine a beach holiday with a short walk to the city's attractions.

The beach is easy to reach on foot from the center of Alanya, and from other parts of the city people usually get here by city bus or taxi. In the height of the season, it is better to come in the morning if having more space by the water is important.
