Kargicak Beach

Kargicak Beach in Kargicak, Turkey

Kargicak Beach is located on the eastern outskirts of Alanya, in the Kargicak area, between Mahmutlar and the quieter coastal stretches toward Gazipasa. It is an extended Mediterranean coastline at the foot of the Taurus Mountains, where residential neighborhoods, hotels, and separate public areas reach the sea via the road and equipped access points.

The shore here is mostly pebbly or a mix of sand and pebbles. In many sections the beach is narrow, and the water becomes deep quite quickly, so the conditions are better suited to those who feel confident in the sea. Because of the pebbles and rocky seabed, water shoes are often more convenient for swimming, especially for children and for those planning to enter the water in unequipped sections.

Kargicak Beach is of interest to those looking for a calmer alternative to Alanya's central beaches. There is less dense urban development right along the shoreline here, and the coastal sections vary in their level of facilities: near hotels you can find sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach services, while public areas usually look simpler. In season, the sea is suitable for swimming from late spring to autumn, although noticeable waves are possible on windy days.

For tourists, this is a convenient place if you want to combine a seaside holiday with staying in a quieter part of the Alanya coast. The beach is suitable for short stops, walks along the shore, and swimming, but before choosing a specific section it is worth considering the beach surface, the availability of infrastructure, and the characteristics of entry into the water.

Pebbly coastline with a rapid increase in depth

The coastline in Kargicak stretches for several kilometers, so conditions can differ noticeably from one section to another. Closer to the hotels, well-maintained beach sections with a cleared entry into the sea are more common, while in the open public areas the surface may be covered with larger pebbles. The water is usually clear, which is especially noticeable in calm weather.

At the beach, you can swim, sunbathe, and walk along the sea, and during less busy hours simply use it as a quiet coastal area without the bustle of the city. Because of the waves and the steep entry into the water, parents with small children should assess the specific access point in advance. In the hot months, it is useful to bring water shoes, a hat, and a supply of drinking water if you choose a section without services.

Nearby are the residential neighborhoods of Kargicak and Mahmutlar, and Alanya city center with its promenade, port, and fortress can be reached in a relatively short time. This location is convenient for those who want to relax by the sea in a quieter part of the coast while still not being far from the city's attractions.

The D400 highway runs along the coast, and access to the beach is usually via underpasses or marked crossings near hotels and public entrances. You can get here by buses and dolmus from central Alanya, Mahmutlar, and neighboring areas, as well as by taxi.
