Emirgan Park is located in the Sariyer district on the European side of Istanbul, along the Bosphorus shore. It is one of the city's largest and best-known historic parks, visited for walks, peaceful relaxation, and views of the strait. Thanks to its hillside setting, the park combines shaded paths, open lawns, and viewpoints overlooking the water.

The park's name is associated with Emirguneoglu Yusuf Pasha, a Persian dignitary to whom these lands were granted in the 17th century during the reign of Sultan Murad IV. In a later period, the area took on the appearance of a landscaped park, and several 19th-century pavilions - the Yellow, Pink, and White - have survived to this day. These buildings are considered an important part of the park's historic setting.

Emirgan is known for its variety of plants, well-kept lawns, decorative ponds, and winding paths. Old trees grow here, seasonal flower beds are planted, and there are areas for leisurely walks and relaxing outdoors. In spring, the park is especially lively during the tulip bloom, when its flower beds become one of the notable venues of Istanbul's Tulip Festival.

For tourists, the park is appealing as a place where a walk through a green area can be combined with viewing historic pavilions and Bosphorus scenery. From the upper paths and terraces, panoramic views open onto the strait and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, while the proximity to the waterfront makes it easy to include Emirgan in an itinerary along the northern part of Istanbul's European shore.
