Fethiye Port
Fethiye Port in Fethiye, Turkey
Fethiye Port is located in the town bay in southwestern Turkey, in the center of Fethiye. It is an operating harbor where excursion boats, yachts, fishing boats, and vessels serving local sea routes share the space. The port is directly connected to the town promenade, making it convenient to visit during a walk through the central part of the town.
For travelers, the port is primarily of interest as a starting point for sea excursions. Boats depart from here across Fethiye Bay, to nearby islands, coves, and stretches of coastline that are easier to reach by water. Throughout the day, the harbor remains lively: excursion vessels moor here, ticket offices and marine tour agencies operate, and nearby there are cafes, shops, and small services for yachtsmen.
The surroundings of the port make it possible to combine a sea trip with sightseeing in the town. Within a few minutes' walk is the old Paspatur quarter with its narrow streets and small shops. Higher up on the slope, the Lycian rock tombs are visible, and on the elevation above the bay are the ruins of a fortress, recalling the long history of Fethiye and its coastal location.
Fethiye Port does not look like an isolated tourist attraction - it remains part of the town's everyday life. Local boats come here, restaurants and walking areas line the waterfront, and the harbor itself offers a convenient impression of how the maritime rhythm of a resort town that is also lively and inhabited is organized.

Fethiye Port and Its Sea Routes
The promenade, harbor, and the town's everyday life come together here.
Town harbor with excursion departures and views of the bay
At the port, you can watch the movement of vessels from the promenade and piers, as well as choose a short trip around the bay or a longer sea route. Excursions from here usually head to islands, secluded coves, and nearby beaches, including stretches of coastline that are difficult to reach by land transport. Wooden excursion boats, motorboats, and private yachts are often moored at the piers.
The area around the harbor itself is convenient for a leisurely walk. Along the water stretches a promenade with places to relax, cafes, and points selling sea tours. In the morning and toward evening, the everyday life of the port is especially noticeable here: excursion vessels return, yachts are serviced, fishing boats operate, and small waterfront establishments are open.
Nearby are the Paspatur quarter, the Lycian rock tombs of Amyntas, and the ruins of a fortress on the hill, so a visit to the port can easily be combined with exploring the historic part of Fethiye. The harbor is easy to reach on foot from the center of Fethiye, and from other parts of town people usually get here by taxi or local minibuses to the central promenade.
