Mermerli Beach is located in the center of Antalya, at the foot of the Kaleici cliffs, next to the old harbor. It is a small urban beach built into the historic part of the city: above it are the terraces and buildings of the Old Town, while from the water it is partly sheltered by the harbor bay. Thanks to this location, it is easy to reach during a walk through the narrow streets of Kaleici or after visiting the harbor.

The shore here differs from Antalya’s open sandy beaches. The main relaxation area is arranged on platforms by the cliffs, and there are small sections of pebbles right by the water. The sea usually appears calmer here than along the more open coastline, but the depth increases quickly, so it is important to enter the water carefully, especially with children and for those who are not confident swimmers.

The beach is interesting above all because of its location: it is a rare opportunity to swim almost in the very center of Antalya, next to historic buildings and the old harbor. From the shore and the platforms, there are views of the walls of Kaleici, the rocky coastline, and the harbor with excursion boats. Because of its compact size, it can be crowded during the high season, so people more often choose it for a short break than for a full day by the sea.

Access to the beach is usually organized through the restaurant located above, and entry is often paid. On site, there is generally basic beach infrastructure: sun loungers, umbrellas, showers, toilets, and changing cabins. Visiting conditions may change, so it is better to check the current rules and entrance fee before going down.
