Kursunlu Waterfall
Kursunlu Waterfall in Antalya, Turkey - trail and cascades
Kursunlu Waterfall is located in the Aksu district, northeast of central Antalya, within Kursunlu Nature Park. It is one of the best-known waterfalls in the area around the city and a convenient place for a short trip into nature without a long journey from the coast. The water flow forms a cascade about 18 meters high and is fed by one of the branches of the Aksu River system.
The main feature of this place is not only the waterfall itself, but also the landscape surrounding it. The stream passes through a small valley and a section of narrow canyon, where wooden walkways, trails, and viewing platforms have been arranged. Below, a calm pool is formed, and throughout the area there is a noticeable contrast between the rocky walls, the damp sections by the water, and the drier Mediterranean vegetation.
The park is appreciated for its shade, coolness, and convenient walking route. Here you can follow the equipped path, view the cascades from different points, and observe nature. Fish and freshwater turtles can sometimes be seen in the water, and among the trees and shrubs there are species characteristic of southern Turkey.
Kursunlu is suitable for those who want to exchange the rhythm of the city for a peaceful walk by the water for a few hours. Thanks to the protected area and organized trails, the visit remains quite comfortable, while the natural environment is better protected from excessive pressure.

The route through the park follows a circular trail, where the waterfall is revealed from different angles: from above, from the side, and from the lower platform by the water. Along the way, you can see small rapids, pools, rocky ledges, and areas of dense vegetation. During the hot season, the difference in temperature compared with open urban spaces is especially noticeable here.
Visitors usually come here for a peaceful walk, photographs, and nature observation. The paths and bridges make it possible to move through the area without a difficult climb, although some sections may be damp and slippery. Footwear with non-slip soles is more convenient for the walk, especially if you plan to complete the entire route through the park.
Pines, shrubs, and moisture-loving plants grow in the park by the water, and in shaded places it is easy to notice moss and dense greenery on the rocks. Not far from the waterfall are other natural and archaeological sites in the eastern part of Antalya, including Upper Duden Waterfall and the ruins of ancient Perge.
The most convenient way to get here is usually by car or taxi from central Antalya; the journey takes relatively little time if there is no heavy traffic.
